Cristiano Ronaldo was handed La Liga's player of the year award last night after scoring 31 league goals for the Champions League holders. Ronaldo (pictured above with his girlfriend Irina Shayk) beat Diego Costa and Carlos Vela after Lionel Messi didn't even make the shortlist. His team-mate Luka Modric (right) was named midfielder of the year.
