The female ISIS defector, known only as Khadija, has told her story of how she joined ISIS leaving her old life as a elementary school teacher behind ]
The 25-year-old, only known as Khadija, was part of the Khansa'a brigade who patrol the streets of Raqqa in Syria making sure women adhere to ISIS rules, before deciding to flee. Khadija, who was formerly an elementary school teacher said she decided to walk away from ISIS after witnessing beheadings, crucifixions and violence against women.
